DCU500 series' extraordinary performance is enabled by Aigis' unique patented blast absorption TABRE technology. The DCU reduces the UN Hazard Classification and compatibility group from 1.1B to 1.4S, thus improving safety when storing and transporting electric and non-electric detonators. The unit also vitally provides over 7 minutes protection before the first detonator initiates in a fuel fire.
